A community-owned company has announced it will launch its third share offer to fund a further clean renewable energy installation.
Burneside Community Energy Limited say they will use the funds to add an installation in Burneside.
A total of £186,500 is open to potential shareholders, with the money being used to fund the installation of a further 313.5kW of solar PV arrays on roofs currently being leased from James Cropper PLC, Burneside Mills, near Kendal.
As a Community Benefit Society, all profits raised from the generation of electricity through solar Photo Voltaic panels are used to fund local projects.
In 2019, BCE donated solar panels to St Oswald’s school, to enable them to participate in generating their own power and benefitting from the Government feed-in tariff.
