Genesis Homes has taken over a Cumbrian housebuilder as it eyes expansion.
The Penrith-based firm has acquired Russell Armer Homes, headquartered in Kendal, and was advised by Baines Wilson’s corporate and commercial property.
The acquisition furthers Genesis Homes’ strategy for growth into South Lakes and North Lancashire.
Nicky Gordon, managing director of Genesis Homes, said: “Genesis is a business which continues to grow with its sights set on delivery regionally across Cumbria and Lancashire and this acquisition provides that platform for delivery.
“Baines Wilson have been an essential support to Genesis for many years and we are again thankful for the quality of their advice and their proactive approach throughout this acquisition.”
Andrew Hill, of Baines Wilson, added: “It was a pleasure to work with the Genesis team on this acquisition.
“It is a testament to their identity as a leading property developer in the region and we are pleased to continue to assist them in their plans for growth.”
