A hangar on Kirkbride Airfield is for sale with a price tag of £250,000.
Hangar 1, a six-and-a-half acre site, which also includes a derelict brick building which could be converted into a home, is on the market with H&H Land & Estates.
The airfield is just over a mile from Carlisle.
From 1939 until its closure 1960, Kirkbride Airfield was a hive of activity, originally housing newly built aircraft ahead of them being delivered to frontline units and later becoming a storage unit for unwanted airframes.
Throughout its time, the airfield would have seen just about every aircraft in RAF service.
Thomas Armstrong, of H&H Land & Estates in Carlisle, said: “This is an exciting and truly unique opportunity to purchase a large building.
“Subject to planning consents, the brick built property could be a delightful family/business linked dwelling.
“There are several other hangers located around the airfield which offer a wide range of uses from agricultural storage, to commercial storage, wagon storage, plant and machinery.”
