A law firm with an office in Cumbria has been ranked as the number three legal adviser for mergers and acquisitions in the North West during the first quarter of this year.
Napthens, which has an office in Kendal, was recognised for its work in a new report by Experian Market IQ. The news follows an active quarter for the firm’s 28-strong corporate team, as it advised on eight completed transactions in the first three months of the year.
Major deals include sale of long-standing client Connect 2 Cleanrooms Limited to New York-based private equity firm, ASGARD Partners & Co, purchase of Wheelbase cycles, in Staveley, by JD Sports Plc and the sale of The Regent Hotel, on the shores of Windermere, as well as the 19-room Ambleside Lake House on Waterhead Bay, to the Inn Collection group.
Richard Robinson, partner at Napthens, said: “What this ranking makes clear, is that the increased performance of our team goes beyond the general increased volume of M&A activity over the past two years.
“We continue to advise on large complex deals, as our clients appreciate our relationship-driven approach, with partner-level oversight given on every transaction we are involved with.”
