A Cumbrian operations and engineering specialist has been awarded a five-year contract extension at Sellafield.
Cumbria O&M Services, based at Westlakes Science Park, Moor Row, has secured the extension with Axiom, part of the The Design Services Alliance.
The alliance was set up in 2012 with Sellafield Ltd as an alliance partner working as one team alongside Axiom – Assystem, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald and Progressive (Aecom and Cavendish Nuclear).
COMS, which has been working on a sub-contract basis, has secured the new framework agreement and will be delivering engineering and maintenance, operations support, commissioning and start-up.
Grant Taylor, operations director, said: “It is fantastic to be awarded further work as part of the Design Services Alliance. We have worked closely with Axiom over the last five years on various projects and the new framework is testament to the hard work of our team and the services we provide to our clients.
