A Carlisle organic skincare brand has won an award for one of its products.
Oak & Stone Organics has won a gold medal in the Special Free From Achievement Honours category at the 11th annual Free From Skincare Awards, with it best-selling face + body polish.
The Europe-wide awards were founded to encourage and reward manufacturers of skincare products that are free from many of the allergens, preservatives, additives and fragrances associated with skin sensitivities, allergies, and ethical, environmental and health concerns.
Kaylie Jackson, founder of Oak & Stone Organics, said: “I’m thrilled to have won a gold award on my first ever attempt at entering a cosmetic award. I don’t believe skincare needs to be complicated, or have a list of ingredients that you can’t even pronounce, and so I only include 100 per cent natural ingredients that are kind to the skin and intensely nourishing and hydrating.”
Kaylie founded Oak & Stone Organics in 2020, during the first pandemic to be able to stay at home and support her young daughter. Her business quickly took off, and quickly found a popular online presence with support from celebrities such as Stacey Solomon.
She added: “It was a steep learning curve but it’s been an amazing journey and for my products to be recognised by such a prestigious awards means everything.
“We’re due to launch our much anticipated new skincare range in September.”
