A leading business organisation is looking for new young members to join its shadow board.
Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster set up its shadow board in 2018 for young professionals aged 18 to 30 to make sure they had a voice in key decisions, provide support and help drive wider opportunities for young people.
It is looking for three new members.
Rhianna Smith, chair of the shadow board, said: “The shadow board has brought fresh insights and diversity of thought to BECBC. We hope that any new members will be passionate about supporting and driving the board’s strategy forward.
“This includes ensuring that young professionals continue to be represented within the cluster. We are looking forward to working with them on new and creative ideas to support our members.”
Jason Savage, senior emergency management planner at Sellafield, and member of the shadow board, added: “It offers young professionals a great opportunity to grow their network as well as exposure to the running of a board and its challenges.
“This is a fantastic time for people to be joining, particularly if you are from a Micro or small business, with a refresh of members, a new chair, and ever increasing BECBC membership and activities.”
Interested parties should complete the online application form at https://tinyurl.com/BECBCSHADOW by 5pm on September 23.
Applicants will be shortlisted for interviews and those successful will start as part of the shadow board in October.
