A Cumbrian hotel group has been shortlisted for an award in the HR Hospitality Awards.
Lake District Country Hotels are in the running for an award in the ‘Excellence in Promoting Careers’ category, which looks for businesses attracting untapped talent, providing development opportunities and promoting the sector as a ‘great place to work’.
Judges are looking for a team or individual who has built strong links in the education sector including schools, colleges or universities or working alongside charities to encourage and inspire people to join the industry.
Lake District Country Hotels are made up of three small country house hotels, Cragwood Country House Hotel, Merewood Country House Hotel and Briery Wood Country House Hotel, all situated between Windermere and Ambleside and has around 114 employees across the group.

The awards event, which takes place on the September 30 at Pan Pacific hotel in London, celebrates the work hospitality businesses conduct nationally.
