The first ever Conference Cumbria will be held next month – and organisers promise a day of inspirational talks and discussions to help you raise your game.
It will be held on October 3 at Energus, Lillyhall, near Workington and has been organised by Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
What to expect from the day
First up, we have a presentation from leadership consultant and non-executive director for North Cumbria Integrated Care Foundation Trust, Teresa Griffiths CBE.
Teresa previously spent 27 years in the RAF where she specialised in in aeromedical evacuation nursing, pre-hospital emergency care, trauma and resuscitation.
Attendees will then hear from a panel of four inspirational local business leaders including:
- Colin Sneath – Co-founder of A Day’s Walk Farm Shop Local Produce Champions
- Emma Sherlock – Director of operations at Stan Sherlock Associates
- Caroline Hughes – Shareholder and general manager at the Melbreak Hotel
- John Coughlan – CEO at TSP Engineering
The panellists will be sharing their experiences and insights on how they’ve ‘raised their game’ throughout their careers.
Then in the afternoon there will be a keynote speech by international speaker and the creator and author of Celebrity Service & Celebrity Service Superstars, Geoff Ramm.
During his career, Geoff has challenged and inspired entrepreneurs, high performance teams and organisations across 47 countries to create award-winning ideas to outperform the competition.
Geoff said: “I’ll be sharing the philosophy, the techniques, the stories and some of the new ideas that will have your customers and your clients raving about you, referring you and recommending you to the world!”
Geoff’s on-stage presence and humour are sure to have attendees on the edge of their seats!
Local businesses who will be exhibiting at the event. During the intervals, when refreshments and lunch are served, attendees will be able to network and browse the exhibition stands.
