An expo showcasing Cumbrian firms has been hailed a success.
Cumbria Business Expo 2023, held at Carlisle Racecourse yesterday, Friday September 22, was sponsored by Cumberland Council.
The Business Expo was Shout Expo’s fourth B2B exhibition in the North West and was first time the event had been held in Cumbria. Shout Expo organises and delivers large, annual B2B exhibitions in Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Liverpool.
The inaugural Cumbria Business Expo was the largest B2B exhibition in the region, with nearly 100 exhibitors and 1,000 visitors.
Director of Shout Expo, Jordan Conlin, said: “We were delighted to bring our B2B exhibitions to Cumbria. Our previous plans for expanding our events into the region were thwarted by COVID, so to finally have the Cumbria Business Expo come to fruition is fantastic.
“The thriving Cumbria business community offers a range of commercial, public sector and private sector organisations. We know there is a huge demand for a large B2B exhibition in the region, so we were very excited about giving Cumbria businesses the perfect platform to showcase their products and services at their own regional expo.”
Leader of Cumberland Council Mark Fryer said: “We were delighted to be the main sponsor of the first ever Business Expo in Cumbria and it was great to welcome it to our patch.
“We want to do all we can to support local businesses in the Cumberland area and the Cumbria Business Expo helped showcase the region to potential investors and put the spotlight on Cumberland.”
