Cumbria Business Growth Hub has brought together a packed programme for this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The week, from November 13 to November 19, is marked in 180 and celebrates and empowers entrepreneurs in every country and community across the world – especially those individuals who face barriers or may never have considered starting a business before.
The webinars are open to anyone with an interest in self employment/starting a business, new business start-ups and any existing business owners wanting to learn more. You can attend as many webinars as you choose.
Lesley Robinson, head of business support with Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has been responsible for pulling the activity together.
She said: “We’ve always found it really important to highlight and support Global Entrepreneurship Week and every year we build on activity and try and do things bigger and better.
“This year we have a great range of free 1hr webinars very kindly delivered by a number of local experts including Dodd & Co Accountants, David Allen IT, Burnetts, Creative Hutch, Growth Company and Barclays Eagle Lab.
“I’d encourage anyone thinking about self-employment, those new to being their own boss or indeed business owners who just want to refresh or find out more to get in touch and make bookings.”
An in-person event will be held in Barrow at The Forum on Thursday November 16 from 10.30am to 2.30pm with three presentations. Local entrepreneurs will share their journey and there will be lunch and networking opportunities.
