A Farm Business Conference will be held in Cumbria later this year, hosted by journalist Caz Graham.
Organised by The Farmer Network Ltd, in partnership with the Westmorland it will take place at Rheged, near Penrith, on Thursday November 20.
It will include a number of speakers talking about what is needed to run a successful farm business.
The Farmer Network said: “This will include the thorny issue of succession planning, the latest information on the forthcoming changes to Inheritance Tax, and discussion on the future for the next generation of farmers.”
Keynote speakers will include Sarah Dunning, chair of Westmorland, sharing an insight into her own business philosophies.
Attendance is free for farmers with thanks to funding from the Westmorland & Furness and Cumberland Shared Prosperity Fund and the Westmorland Community Fund.
Further details will be announced over the coming weeks, and Cumbrian farmers are advised to book early to secure their free place.
Lunch will be provided for all farmers attending.

“It is intended to be a fun and enjoyable day but there will be a lot of useful information, debate and some powerful messages based on experience from a range of people within the farming industry, all to ensure that our much-needed farmers are well-prepared for whatever the future may bring.”
