
Furness Building Society has appointed a head of savings strategy.
Liam Williamson will lead on the society’s development and delivery of its savings product portfolio.
He will oversee product design, performance and compliance while collaborating with the mortgage and intermediaries teams to drive growth and member-focused solutions.
Liam joins Furness Building Society from OSB Group where he spent two years as group head of savings propositions and partnerships.
Prior to that he served in senior savings roles at Aldermore Bank and Bank North, following a six-year stint at Yorkshire Building Society.
Chris Wainwright, chief commercial officer, said: “Liam is an experienced financial services leader, with a decade-long career of shaping innovative savings propositions across a range of financial institutions.
“He impressed us with his ability to combine insight and agile ways of working to design savings solutions that deliver value for our members, while also maintaining the society’s strong commercial outlook. We’re really happy to welcome him to the Furness team.”
