L-R: Jordan May and Craig Olley

[N]orthern Security has recently created two new positions within the business of Patrol & Response Manager in both the Carlisle and Middlesbrough offices. The role oversees the mobile patrol and alarm response services provided to their customers.

This part of the business has been growing steadily over the past couple of years, therefore there was the need for management for these services, looking after operations, the mobile teams in both areas and increasing revenue from these services.

Jordan May is the Carlisle based Patrol & Response Manager and has only been with the company since February. Jordan worked with Northern Security several years ago, before moving on to work for a firm who specialise in nuclear security services. Jordan was responsible for the movement of nuclear waste as well as responding to national terrorism threat levels.

In the new role, Jordan will be looking at every aspect of the business; ensuring costs are low, profit is high and giving excellent customer service. He wants to make sure his clients are always happy, as well as his staff.

Jordan said: “Northern Security is leaps and bounds above other security companies that is why we need to ensure all departments have high standards. I am now in a position to be able to take this forward and help run the business as if it was mine.”

At their office in Middlesbrough, Craig Olley takes on the position of Patrol & Response Manager for Northern Security. Craig has also previously worked for Northern Security as a Security Guard at Middlesbrough Football Club. He left Northern Security to pursue another position, but was offered this role and soon came back.

Craig said: “I felt like I had unfinished business with Northern Security and more to give the company, so the role of Patrol and Response Manager was perfect. It was a fantastic opportunity for me and I couldn’t say no.”

Craig has worked in the security industry for six years, as well as working at Middlesbrough F.C he worked as a guard at Teesside Shopping Centre, working his way up to Supervisor and then on to Deputy Manager.

Craig will manage the day-to-day operations of the mobile patrol and alarm response services for Northern Security in the Northeast.
