Bay Business Angels to host next event to help businesses secure investment
Bay Business Angels

Bay Business Angels, a group that facilitates ‘Angel’ equity investment, is holding its next event in March.

In 2019, the group exceeded the £1M mark for raising investment for businesses in the South Cumbria and North Lancaster region.

Now in its third year, the group attracts a high quality and diverse range of businesses to their events across a range of sectors from the latest technology to traditional such as food and drink and engineering businesses. In reflection of the high quality of businesses that have pitched to the Business Angels, on average 60% of businesses receive investment offers.

Bay Business Angels is the only business angels investment network based in the North Lancashire and Cumbria area.

The group is backed by some of the leading businesses in Cumbria and Lancashire including top ten ranked and International University of the Year*, Lancaster University and its highly reputable Management School. A partnership that enables the Bay Business Angels network to offer unique support and fantastic opportunities to businesses that it engages with.

Other leading businesses involved in the group are Commercial Law firm Baines Wilson, Accountancy firms in MHA Moore and Smalley and Baldwins, Banks in NatWest, Barclays and funding specialists, Manchester based Access to Finance.

John Wilson from Baines Wilson comments: “Whilst all our events have been good, by consensus our last event was our best and it looks that the next event on 24th March will involve some very interesting investment opportunities. The event is becoming a must attend for local entrepreneurs who are used to angel investing or perhaps thinking of going in that direction.”

The next investment event will be held on 24 March at Lancaster University Management School.

If you are interested in finding out more about applying to Bay Business Angels or attending the event as a potential investor, please contact Martha Winn – [email protected].
