Tonight, David Allen showed their appreciation to the NHS and other key workers by lighting up their head office in Dalston.

Lee Crellin, owner of Just Beam It Lasers attended the office with his lasers and put on a fantastic show.

Originally from Manchester, now living in Carlisle with his wife and two young children, Lee travels worldwide with his lasers. From business conferences to the Six Nations and Olympics in Brazil, Lee can turn any venue into something truly exciting.

David Allen said “We recognise that this is a really tough time for everyone, and we wanted to show our appreciation to the NHS and other key workers.

“Our clients are at the forefront of our minds, and we continue to reassure them that we are here to provide practical advice and support through these tough times.

“We’ve been helping our clients to restructure and tailor their activities to align themselves with the current situation. Every business is different, and we strive to support them throughout their journey. Our meetings with clients have mostly been by telephone or video conferencing and we have also used a lot of social media and e-bulletins.

“We have amazing people at David Allen. We are proud of them for adapting to their new working environment and we are implementing important steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of them.

“It is important that our offices have remained open throughout the pandemic with skeleton staff and safety measures in place. Our open plan workspaces have enabled us to provide staff with distanced working and extra hygiene procedures have been taken.

“The majority of our workforce are working from home. Technology has been key throughout this and our advanced IT systems have enabled home working to be effective. A robust infrastructure, high speed broadband and the very latest information security are all important. We’re very pleased now that we had all of this in place.

“Using technology and developments in video calling and conferencing has meant that it is easier than ever for our teams to stay connected with visual links as well as voice.  Daily team briefings with people joining from home using collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams have been great fun.

“Our Business IT Support teams have continued to support our client’s IT. This has been more important than ever with an increasing number of people working from home. The IT infrastructure has been a big enabler to allow our clients to continue working effectively.

“There’s a lot of external support too and we’ve been pulling this together. The government support packages are providing much needed help to many of our clients both individuals and businesses, and the extension of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has been a big relief. It is needed now as people are anxious that we are entering into a recession.

“We forecast that more remote working is going to be the new norm as this experience has taught us how effective and efficient it can be. It also fits in well with supporting a work-life balance because it is much more flexible than being office based.

“It is going to take a long time for things to get to a productive new normal and it is important that employees have security and peace of mind about their futures. This additional funding of employees’ wages through to October is providing that.

“We’ve had a lot of great feedback from our clients during this time and that has been very rewarding.

“We have had a lot of information from accountants in the last few days, but yours is head and shoulders above the rest.

“Really good to see how supportive you are as a company. Thank you.

“Very impressed with your Coronavirus email updates.

“I just wanted to say thank you and to everyone at David Allen for all of your support and for all of the very useful updates during this time.

“We have fantastic technical expertise across Accountancy, Tax, Financial Services, Business IT and Recovery Solutions. The concept of a trusted adviser has never been more relevant. If you require support or have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact one of David Allen’s specialists on 01228 711888.”
