[A] family-run business has opened a new office in Windermere – and is planning a launch party with a difference.
Good Life Lake District Cottages lets out stunning holiday cottages across the Lake District.
The company already has a base in Elterwater, Ambleside, and has now opened a second office in Beech Street, Windermere.
The expansion is expected to lead to the creation of a number of jobs.
Natalie Barker, Good Life Lake District Cottages operations manager, said: “We are a local, independent company who enjoy looking after homeowners and holidaymakers. We are growing year-on-year, expanding our collection of fantastic holiday cottages and attracting new customers.
“We are thrilled to move into our new Windermere office and become part of the thriving local business scene.
“The expansion to Windermere also puts us in a prime position to grow the business and attract more holidaymakers.”
The Windermere office will stage its official launch party for guests on Thursday 8 June – General Election night.
Billed as the perfect antidote to politics, the ‘Good Life Party’ is set to canvass support with Windermere’s key movers and shakers. Guests will wear unique rosettes and vote for their favourite view, not politicians!

Good Life Lake District Cottages was launched in 2008. It now boasts a unique collection of cottages in stunning locations across the Southern Lakes.
The company is interested in hearing from owners of cottages who want to join the company’s portfolio.
Natalie, from Grasmere, added: “We are a local company. The business is run by people who live and love the Lake District. Opening a new office in Windermere means we can work even more closely with the community and local suppliers.
