Cumbria accountancy and business advisory firm MHA Moore and Smalley has unveiled a new brand identity to closer align itself with its national and international networks.

The move brings the firm’s branding in line with MHA, the association of eight independent UK accountancy and business advisory firms, and the Baker Tilly International network of which it is also a member.

The new identity features Baker Tilly International’s ‘Now, for tomorrow’ ethos which focuses on great relationships, adaptability to clients’ needs, and providing more forward-looking advice and support.

Graham Gordon, managing partner of MHA Moore and Smalley, said: “This is another positive step forward for the firm and our clients.

“Whether they operate on a local, national or international basis, we’re committed to helping all the businesses, organisations and individuals we advise to grow and plan for the future.

“As an independent firm, but part of the MHA and Baker Tilly International networks, we have the national and global reach to help us create new opportunities for our clients.”

Graham, who has helped oversee growth in turnover to £16.6m at the firm, added: “Technology is rapidly changing the world, so standing still is not an option; we need to make decisions now, to shape a successful tomorrow for our clients. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in new digital accounting solutions and recruited the brightest and best people.

“Despite the many uncertainties of business life, our work across many industry sectors highlights an optimism and appetite to grow. We are in a strong position to support clients in achieving their plans.”

Founded in 1892, Moore and Smalley has been part of the MHA association since 2010 and adopted the MHA prefix to its name in 2017.

Member firms benefit by being able to offer clients specialist services in more local markets, while employees also benefit through shared professional development resources.

MHA firms collectively employ over 2,200 staff and have a combined turnover of £152m. Baker Tilly International is the world’s 10th largest accountancy and business advisory network.

MHA Moore and Smalley has offices in Preston, Blackpool, Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancaster, Liverpool, Manchester, Southport and the East Midlands.
