A Cumbrian businessman has been named among the best in Britain.
Barry Leahey MBE, chief executive of Playdale Playgrounds in Haverthwaite, near Ulverston, was runner-up in the Business Leader of the Year category in the Great British Business Awards.
The awards celebrate the success and hard work of businesses across the country, with 1,650 nominations received this year. There were 16 finalists in Mr Leahey’s category.
Mr Leahey said: “Being recognised for my leadership is truly humbling,” he said. “I am also very proud to see the Playdale Playgrounds Ltd name mixing it with the best in the business. As a company, we have always strived for excellence, and this recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation of our entire team.”
Playdale Playgrounds has been providing playground equipment for over 45 years.
