Dozens of Sellafield workers have been overpaid by nearly £200.
Workers were informed yesterday of the overpayment made to their bonus pay and it is still unknown whether or not the money will be deducted from future pay cheques.
The firm has yet to confirm the amount of people affected by the mistake.
A Sellafield Ltd spokesman said: “We can confirm an error has been made in the Sellafield bonus payments for 2022/23, which has resulted in an overpayment to employees of less than £200 per person in our May payroll.
“We are currently assessing the situation and may deduct the amount from future salaries. A review is being undertaken to prevent this from happening in the future.”
