A Lake District hotel and spa has been put up for sale with the asking price of £3.95 million.
The Whitewater Hotel at Backbarrow, near Ulverston, has not fully reopened since the coronavirus pandemic and only partially reopened last month.
It 38 en suite bedrooms and a leisure club and spa.
Built in the 19th century, it was a mill and a pigment factory, creating the world-famous Dolly Blue pigment. It opened as a hotel in 1984.
The six-floor hotel has a 55-cover restaurant, 60-cover lounge bar, 70-cover bar and private dining facility for up to 12 people.
Across the road is the Cascades Health and Fitness Club, which can be accessed via a bridge on the hotel’s second floor.
It has a reception area, heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, changing and toilet facilities, squash court and dance studio, gym and treatment area with six rooms, outdoor spa, steam room and sauna.
There is also a hairdressing salon, let to an independent party.
