Policy & representation
We seek to influence decision makers on your behalf, directly here in Cumbria and nationally through the British Chambers of Commerce.
We also bring key figures to Cumbria to meet businesses, including senior politicians and representatives from the Bank of England and the Low Pay Commission.
We are a locally rooted organisation which is part of an international network including 52 other Chambers in the UK and a further 72 worldwide.

Testimonials from our members
We realised that Chamber Merchant Services could save us 50% on terminal rental and at least 30 per cent on transaction fees.
With switching providers there is always a fear that it may be complicated, create risk, or turn out to be not what you expect. But the transfer was seamless.
The equipment arrived within two days of placing the order and the connection was immediate. Day Cummins couldn’t be more delighted and four months on we are benefitting from the savings.
Jane Clingan, director & practice manager at Day Cummins
The Cumbria chamber team have been so welcoming and helpful. They have introduced and connected us with so many potential learners for our Cumbria DfE Skills Bootcamps and we are looking forward to attending more of their networking events. Mary, Eve, Kevin have been great and would recommend any business to join.
