Delkia appoints nine roles as expansion continues

Egremont-based specialist systems integrator Delkia, which provides design solutions and consultancy services to the maritime and aerospace sectors, has welcomed nine new members of staff to their growing team.

The firm has appointed the following positions:

  • Beeby Bell as business winning manager
  • Janette Baldwin as a principal engineer
  • Jean Page as principal human factors consultant
  • Lewis Horsley as senior project and operations manager
  • Mitchell Ratcliffe as avionics system engineer
  • Neil Morrell as an electronic engineer
  • Phillip Neath as technology and capability integration engineer
  • Steff Clarke as trainee finance manager
  • Zakiya Rashid as a digital marketing degree apprentice

Beeby Bell is based at Delkia’s head office, and his role includes working on bids, tenders and business development.

Beeby said: “Delkia is an exciting and rewarding place to work, with a range of tasks and projects, alongside friendly and helpful colleagues.”

Neil Morrell previously worked for companies such as Rolls Royce, Industrial Controls and Turbo Power Systems.

Neil said: “Delkia offered me the opportunity to get back to what I enjoyed the most about electronic engineering which is taking an initial concept and creating a product that meets the required specification.”

Increased demand leads to Burnetts’ employment team expansion

An increase in demand for new training packages and employment law advice has led to expansion and promotion at Burnetts Solicitors LLP.

Over the last two years the Carlisle-based team has seen an increase in requests to deliver important and sensitive employment law updates and training sessions.

The extra demand has led to two new additions to the firm’s employment law team, with Elliott Chaplin joining as a solicitor and Annabel Doyle joining as a trainee solicitor, alongside the promotion of Sara Devennie from senior associate to legal director.

They join team members, David Gibson, Anna Lovett and Sharon Ridley who have been driving the success and popularity of the new training packages.

Anna Lovett said: “We are very pleased with the uptake of our new training programme for senior executives, HR teams and management.

“The team and I are passionate about working closely with Cumbrian organisations to upskill their senior leaders ensuring workplace practices maximise the talent within the workforce and create and promote business growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome Elliot and Annabel to the team and are delighted about the talent and cross section of skills they bring and we congratulate Sara on her promotion too.”
