H&H insurance broker strengthens senior team with three new recruits
H&H Insurance Brokers has made three key appointments as part of ongoing expansion plans.
The new recruits are Mary Ballard who will work in business development while training to become an account executive, and Craig Dickson and David Murchie who join the firm as account executives.
Mary is based at the firm’s head office in Carlisle and specialises in commercial insurance. Her role includes building new client relationships and using her experience in the commercial sector to support business growth.
Craig covers the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland, while David works with clients in Dumfries and Galloway.

React Engineering scoops Business of the Year award
A Cleator Moor-based nuclear decommissioning and engineering business is celebrating winning Business of the Year at Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) Awards.
React Engineering delivers sustainable engineering and project management solutions to the nuclear decommissioning and environmental clean-up sector.

Resolve, which brings together the expertise of four companies: React Engineering, Forth, PAR Systems and COMS, scooped the Collaboration Award.
Age UK West Cumbria welcomes Burnetts senior associate as new trustee
Rachel D’Souza, a senior associate from Burnetts Solicitors’ Wills, Trusts and Probate team, has joined Age UK West Cumbria as a trustee.
Rachel specialises in wills, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney and will form part of Age UK West Cumbria’s Board of Trustees, helping to guide the charity in its work to support older people in Allerdale and Copeland facing issues such as loneliness, financial worries and living independently.
Rachel said: “I am delighted to now be a Trustee for Age UK West Cumbria. I have already been very impressed with what Age UK West Cumbria offer to our local community and look forward to working with them going forward.”
