Lloyd Kia will open a new state-of-the-art showroom to the public this weekend.

Lloyd Kia Carlisle will officially unveil their new showroom on Saturday December 9 following seven months of construction and redevelopment work. The new facility is at the same Grearshill Road site as the previous showroom on the Kingstown industrial estate.

Lloyd Kia remained open throughout the process, using alternative premises at Lloyd AllRoad and Lloyd Used Car Centre nearby.

The new showroom features Kia’s latest dealer experience and brand identity, currently being rolled out across the global Kia dealer network with separate zones for customers and car displays.

With greener technology implemented throughout the building, the massive investment reflects Lloyd Group’s confidence in the Kia franchise.

Sam Lloyd, managing director of Lloyd Motor Group said: “We are delighted with this major development at Kia Carlisle. The new facility looks fantastic and further displays our commitment to the Kia brand, which is growing from strength to strength.”

The design of the new showroom has totally transformed the Grearshill Road site, offering more room and a spacious layout. Wooden features provide a warm and inviting atmosphere with a comfortable waiting area and multiple sales desks to assist customers.

There has also been investment into the aftersales side of the business. The state-of-the-art workshop now has doubled capacity with inbuilt tool stations, a new parts department, and a brand-new purpose-built valeting bay.

The investment in aftersales follows the news that Kia is now being the best-selling retail and fleet brand in Carlisle according to national data.

Roy Holliday, head of business at Lloyd Kia Carlisle said: “We are really excited to welcome customers back to our Grearshill home. The new showroom is amazing and such a huge change from the old building.

“With Kia being one of the most successful manufacturers in the market today, it is fantastic to have facilities that reflect this. With upcoming products due in 2024 including the phenomenal EV9, the exciting EV3 and many more, there has never been a better time to be involved with the Kia brand.

“I would personally like to thank all staff and customers for their patience in the last seven months. It is always difficult to run such a big operation alongside a huge development but all staff have accepted the challenge and have shown real character in adapting to the situation.

“We hope all customers will forgive any inconvenience when they see the new showroom. I look forward to welcoming you all personally.”
