A West Cumbrian training and conference facility has installed artificial intelligence to manage its energy systems.
Energus, at Lillyhall, near Workington, has introduced the Nordomatic iBOS energy AI system, developed in Sweden, to control building functions including heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
It said by monitoring environmental conditions and occupancy, the system optimises operations to ensure energy is used as efficiently as possible, promising significant cost savings and environmental benefits.
Shaun Stanger, general manager of Energus, said: “We are thrilled to be at the forefront of adopting such transformative technology.
“The Nordomatic iBOS energy AI system is a crucial part of our strategy to lead by example in sustainability and innovation.
“Alongside our newly planted woodland, at the rear of the building, for CO2 offsetting and our electric car charging ports, this initiative forms part of our broader commitment to environmental stewardship.
“We also have several exciting projects in the pipeline that we look forward to sharing over the coming months.”
