After nearly 20 years of managing behind-the-scenes operations of local businesses, a Cockermouth woman has launched a new venture.
Nina Moore has worked as a senior business manager at a West Cumbrian estate agents for around 16 years, as well as roles in the Civil Service and family businesses.
She is now using her expertise in HR, finance and business operations to support others who are trying to do it all with Nina Moore Virtual Assistant.
“It’s exciting, and I’ll be honest and say it is a little daunting! However it’s something that I’ve been planning for some time, and I’m excited to see it come to life,” said Nina.
Her new business is aimed at local sole traders, directors and growing small businesses who need trusted, professional support without the overhead of hiring staff.
She said: “I feel an affinity for the one-person businesses and the small businesses in our community who can’t always afford to employ the support that they need.”
A familiar face in the local business community, Nina already supports a growing client list including local estate agents, retailers and solo business owners.
Her services are designed to be flexible and low-fuss, covering everything from people and finance admin to director-level PA support.
She added: “Most of the people I work with don’t want the expense of a full-time employee. They just need someone who can slot in, pick things up quickly and quietly get things done.
“I understand and I’ve experienced the need to wear many hats within a role. I’m all about making your work life a little lighter. Whether you are a solo entrepreneur juggling everything yourself or a growing business that needs a bit more hands-on support, I’m here to help.”
Her new brand has been created with the support of Cumbrian marketer Dan McAulay.
She added: “Cockermouth has a thriving business community, many of which are small businesses, solo entrepreneurs, family businesses all of which deserve support when they need it.
“I’m a true Cockermouthian, with deep family roots and known to many of the retailers in town!”
