The Rebuild Site is expanding in Carlisle.
It will relocate its construction materials reuse hub in Kingmoor Park and the new premises will be officially opened at 10am on Saturday September 27.
It has been supported by leading organisations BAM, Sunbelt Rentals Ltd, Story Contracting, AE Yates, Sir Robert McAlpine, Cumberland Council’s community panels, Kingmoor Park, Solomons and Cumberland Council, the larger hub promises to become an even more prominent focal point for circular economy and reuse within the region and beyond.
The Rebuild Site’s reuse hub is the destination for low cost and low carbon materials, sharing resources, and inspiring new ideas in building and beyond.
The relocated, larger hub will continue to:
- Sell a variety of discounted construction and related materials
- Stock refill products
- Run the Tool Library and DIY, craft and climate related workshops
- Collect surplus materials from construction sites
And Rebuild will also be launching new exciting initiatives including venue space to hire and our Rebuild in a Box service offer to support to councils, social enterprises and other organisations wanting to set up reuse hubs.

The celebrations kick off at 10am with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. Local businesses, construction professionals, DIYers, gardeners, crafters and families are all warmly invited to join the festivities.
Guests will be welcomed with refreshments and will have the opportunity to meet the team, connect, learn, and celebrate all things circular and reuse.
