H&H Land & Estates has appointed a new associate director to its South Lakes team.
Chartered surveyor Sam Barton has extensive experience spanning estate management, valuations, rural professional consultancy and commercial property.
In his new role, Sam will work closely with clients on a range of rural property matters, including valuations, property sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant issues, estate management and professional consultancy.
He said he was also looking forward to helping strengthen H&H Land & Estates’ commercial offering alongside the company’s established rural expertise.
Originally from Troutbeck near Windermere, Sam now lives in the Eden Valley with his wife and young family.
Taking up the role at H&H Land & Estates’ Staveley office represents something of a homecoming as he returns to work in an area he knows well.
A graduate of Northumbria University with a degree in real estate, Sam began his career specialising in commercial property in the North East before moving into the rural sector.
Most recently, he worked for a local agent within the Eden Valley, where he advised landowners on estate management matters and a broad range of rural property issues.
He said: “Joining H&H Land & Estates feels like I’ve come full circle. Growing up in Troutbeck and now returning to work in the South Lakes makes this a particularly exciting opportunity.
“H&H Land & Estates has an excellent reputation and I’m looking forward to becoming part of the team, getting to know our clients and helping them achieve their objectives. I also hope to build on the company’s commercial property services while supporting its long-established rural work.”
Mark Barrow, director at H&H Land & Estates, said, “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the team. His experience, local knowledge and understanding of both the rural and commercial property sectors make him an excellent addition to the business.
“With agriculture and the wider rural economy continuing to evolve and diversify, it has never been more important for farmers, landowners, and rural businesses to have access to experienced professionals who understand the changing landscape.
“Sam’s appointment reinforces our commitment to providing clients with the knowledge, experience, and personal service they value.”
