A Cumbrian farm shop has upgraded its membership with a leading county business network to a partner level.

Newtown Farm Shop, in Blackford, near Carlisle, has strengthened its commitment to the local business community by upgrading its membership with Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.

The farm shop has built a reputation for offering local produce, customer service and a connection to the county’s agricultural heritage.

Cumbria Chamber of Commerce said partner membership was designed for organisations committed to championing the local economy, developing strategic relationships and helping to drive positive change for businesses throughout the county.

James Bridges, head of membership and commercial at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Newtown Farm Shop has chosen to upgrade to partner membership.

“As a respected and successful Cumbrian business, they are already making an important contribution to the local economy and this enhanced partnership demonstrates their commitment to supporting business growth across the county.

“Partner members play a vital role in helping us deliver opportunities for businesses to connect, collaborate and prosper.

“We look forward to working even more closely with the team at Newtown Farm Shop and supporting their continued success in the years ahead.”

A spokesman for Newtown Farm Shop said: “We are delighted to be upgrading our membership with Cumbria Chamber of Commerce to partner level.

“As a business that is proud to be rooted in the local community, we recognise the importance of building strong relationships with other organisations across the county.

“The chamber provides a valuable platform for businesses to connect, share knowledge and support one another.

“We are looking forward to making the most of the opportunities that partner membership offers and to playing an active role in helping promote a thriving Cumbrian economy.”

The upgrade would enable the farm shop to raise its profile within the business community, access enhanced networking and promotional opportunities and strengthen relationships with organisations across a wide range of sectors.

Cumbria Chamber of Commerce continues to support businesses of all sizes through cost-saving member services, representation, networking, training and international trade services.
