[T]he Lake District’s original country house hotel, Sharrow Bay, has made the shortlist for the 2018 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence in its ‘Best Waterside Hotel’ category.
Thanks to its dedicated team and scenic location on the shores of Ullswater, the renowned hotel is the only lakeside and northern hotel to be shortlisted, sharing company with southern seaside accommodation, The Woolacombe Bay Hotel in Devon and The Nare in Cornwall.
Created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across the hotels, spas and venues in their collection, the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence are a trusted mark of quality, recognised by luxury consumers and travel professionals alike.

The 2018 Annual Awards for Excellence winners will be determined by the combined results of online voting, guest feedback and Local Expert reports they have received over the last year.
The winners will be announced at an Awards Dinner at The May Fair Hotel, London on Monday 6th November 2017 where they will also celebrate the launch of the Condé Nast 2018 Guides.
