Cockermouth’s Jennings Brewery is to collaborate with three fathers who have inspired many through fundraising and awareness campaigns in aid of a suicide prevention charity.

Jennings Brewery is launching a new brew called 3 Dads Walking to…Cumberland later this month in a collaboration with 3 Dads Walking, three fathers who lost their daughters to suicide.

Since coming together in 2021, 3 Dads Walking have inspired thousands through walks, school visits, and public speaking events that promote compassion, understanding, and action.

The 3 Dads are dedicated to supporting families affected by suicide and helping young people feel seen, heard, and supported and collaboration brings together 3 Dads Walking and Jennings Brewery to amplify this message even further.

“We started 3 Dads Walking to turn our grief into something positive,” said Andy Airey, co-founder of 3 Dads Walking. “Partnering with Jennings Brewery, a company that is so deeply rooted in its community, feels like a natural fit. Together, we hope to start more conversations and help save lives.”

The collaboration beer will officially launch on January 30 with the beer available in the Jennings taproom and some local pubs.

A donation from every pint and cask sold will be donated from Jennings to the charity Papyrus. Andy will also be hosting a pop-up talk in Jennings taproom on Saturday February 7, for people to talk, share, find out more and to donate.

“When we brought the brewery back to independent ownership last year, we said we’d include the community in every part of the comeback,” Rebecca Jobson, marketing manager from Jennings Brewery, said.

“That’s why we’re proud to stand alongside 3 Dads Walking and support their vital work in raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.

“January feels like the perfect time to launch, with a motto of ‘you’re never alone in a pub’ and Jennings has community right at the heart of it.”
