Cumbria based printers and digital marketing agency H&H Reeds has announced the launch of a new website for the national Livestock Auctioneers Association (LAA) that provides a major new service to the national livestock industry.

The Livestock Auctioneers Association is the national representative organisation for livestock markets and auctioneers in England and Wales. They provide vital market hubs for livestock farmers, breeders and meat suppliers to sell and buy cattle and sheep across the UK.

The new website has been designed to provide member organisations with clear and easy access to essential best practice and compliance information, and the LAA’s support and guidance in the development of a strong and growing industry.

It also includes a major new independent platform for the monitoring and reporting of market data and prices across the UK, a critical service for auctioneers, farmers and buyers for which the LAA has taken responsibility from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB).

The LAA market platform will provide consumers with even greater access to timely information and regularly updated prices, helping the industry to benchmark against the latest market trends.

LAA development officer Zanna Dennis said: “The new platform enables us to bring even better services to users, helping them to monitor performance against the most up-to-date market information and livestock market prices, based on instant trade updates and market trends.

“This is a very important step up for the LAA in our service to our members and the whole livestock industry, and H&H Reeds have produced a user-friendly, state-of-the-art solution for a vital tool that will help drive growth in the livestock sector.

“They have also designed a site that fully reflects the LAA’s values and objectives and connects perfectly with all our members and users from the major auction organisations to individual livestock farmers.”

H&H Reeds head of web design, Steven Hart said: “We are delighted to have been able to meet the LAA’s brief for their new website and their feedback has been wonderful.

“We have a very strong record of creating websites for the agricultural sector, including for livestock organisations such as the National Beef and Sheep Associations, and we could bring all that experience to bear on the design and development of the LAA site.

“We were also conscious of the key element that the new market trends data platform plays in the LAA’s service to their users and to the whole livestock industry, and we’re happy to have helped contribute to the future success not just of the LAA but also to the agriculture sector they serve.”
