A Cumbrian education supply agency has been named as a supplier on a national recruitment framework.

Carlisle-based System People Recruitment has been appointed to the Government Commercial Agency’s RM6376 Supply Teachers and Education Recruitment framework.

System People Recruitment said: “Working in education is one of the most rewarding careers there is, and Cumbria has a vibrant and dynamic educational landscape.

“The new GCA supply and recruitment framework is a really positive step forward for the education sector.

“The framework promotes the need for transparent and fair supplier fees, keeping supply fees for the education sector at a reasonable level without undermining the direct fee paid to supply workers who are an integral part of the education landscape.

“Appointment on to the framework reflects the trusted relationships System People hold with education partners, as they take great care in supporting schools to hire reliable, high-quality teaching and classroom support professionals at a fair cost.”

This summer, recruitment consultants from the firm will travel across Cumbria to meet candidates considering the next move in their education careers.

They will share what it is like to work on education supply, how to achieve flexibility in roles, and how to broaden exposure with local employers.

The agency added that working on supply could help people shape their careers around personal commitments.

To discuss next steps, people can meet the team at the System People office at English Gate Plaza, Carlisle, from 10am to noon on August 18.

The consultants will also be at the North Lakes Hotel in Penrith and The Howard Arms in Brampton from 1pm to 3pm on August 18.

Further sessions will be held at the System People office in Lillyhall, near Workington, from 10am to noon on August 20.

A final session will take place at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal from 10am to noon on August 27.
