Barrow-based Furness Building Society has been nominated in six different awards categories across three independent initiatives for 2024.
The organisation has been heralded for its savings, mortgages and overall standing as a UK building society, with voting now underway to determine the winners of each category.
Consumer mortgage website, What Mortgage, has nominated Furness in the categories of Best Regional Building Society, Best Variable Rate Mortgage Lender and Best Guarantor / Family Support Mortgage Lender. Winners are chosen by the public.
And online news service, Financial Reporter, has put Furness forward as Best Building Society in its annual Brokers’ Choice Awards. Voting by mortgage brokers is now underway.
Furness has also been nominated by retail finance data provider, Moneyfacts Group, in the categories of Best Building Society Mortgage Provider and Best Variable Rate Cash ISA Provider for its 2024 awards.
Last year, Furness Building Society was nominated and won the Best Variable Rate Mortgage Lender accolade in the What Mortgage Awards and was also highly commended for Best Regional Building Society.
The winners for all three of this year’s awards will be announced at ceremonies in London in June and July.
Chris Harrison, chief executive of Furness Building Society, said: “Being nominated in so many categories in these prestigious awards initiatives is an extremely proud moment for us.
“Our colleagues work tirelessly to provide homebuyers, brokers and savers with beneficial products and excellent customer service and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to them for earning these nominations.
“Whether we win or lose, to have our efforts across mortgages, savings and our overall proposition acknowledged by the industry and voted for by the public is a huge achievement.”
