A Cumbrian brewery has acquired another Manchester venue.
Fell Brewery, based in Grange-over-Sands, has taken on the Pelican in the city’s Northern Quarter.
It said it will continue to operate Pelican under its existing name and brand, before undertaking a redesign in the coming months, to incorporate Fell’s branding and venue look and feel.
Michael Dixley, Fell Brewery managing director, said: “We’re excited to bring Pelican into the Fell Brewery family.
“Our goal is to build on the reputation and charm of Pelican whilst infusing it with the quality, atmosphere, and community spirit that Fell venues are known for. We’re looking forward to welcoming both loyal customers and new visitors.”
Fell Brewery currently operates bars in Kendal, Penrith and Chorlton – around three miles from Manchester city centre, as well as the Royal Oak pub in Cartmel.
