The body set up to replace the county’s local enterprise partnership is to hold its first major event later this year.
Enterprising Cumbria has announced a countywide economic summit will be held on Tuesday December 3.
Venue and details of speakers are to be confirmed.
The organisation said: “These are exciting times for Cumbria with unprecedented investment coming to our area and opportunities to take significant strides forward on our economic performance, to the benefit of all communities, businesses and residents.
“A new economic strategy is being prepared and this event will provide a platform for our business community to ensure their needs are front and centre of the strategy and our future activities.”
Interim programme director Isobel Brown spoke to Business Crack earlier this year.
