Enterprising Cumbria have launched a new project aimed at encouraging businesses in Barrow to consider expansion plans.
Barrow100 aims to support ‘a century of Barrow-in-Furness businesses’ to make use of specialist advice to help businesses in the area to thrive.
Funded by the Department for Business and Trade and Westmorland and Furness Council, the programme offers to support businesses through identifying new sales opportunities and markets, increasing sales to existing customers, reducing overheads and overcoming recruitment challenges.
The project also offers help with identifying sources of funding and support with marketing.
“ It has been a difficult few years for business-owners with a series of issues causing headaches and damaging confidence,” Paul Foster, head of programmes at Enterprising Cumbria, said.

“Tackling that starts with taking advice and support from external advisors who have been there and done it, and then developing a plan for the future which will be able to ride out future challenges, accessing the wider support available along the way.”
This support is available until March 2025. For more information contact 07385 952 583 or email [email protected]
