Stonecross Manor Hotel

Best Western Great Britain has announced the arrival of Stonecross Manor Hotel, BW Signature Collection, to its growing portfolio of over 260 independent hotels.

Stonecross Manor, situated on the outskirts of the Lake District, in the market town of Kendal is a privately-owned property, originally an orphanage in the 1850s, and now a 32 bedroomed premium hotel, pool and spa. Located just ten minutes from the M6, and less than three hours from London, the hotel is perfect for leisure breaks in the countryside, and corporate stays with character.

The market town of Kendal is fast becoming the festival town of the north with nationally renowned festivals, including Kendal Calling, Mountain Film Festival and Comic Art Festival. For outdoor enthusiasts, this hotel is the ideal base to visit England’s best-known National Parks, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.

Upon joining the Best Western Great Britain brand, Stonecross Manor Hotel, BW Signature Collection, has access to a range of tools and expertise to support in driving tourism to the local area.

Helen Clark General Manager of the hotel said “We are delighted to be part of the Best Western family of brands. We are a proudly independently operated hotel, so Best Western is a great choice for us. We’re excited to see what the future holds now we are part of a 260-strong family of independently owned hotels across the country.”

Rob Paterson, CEO at Best Western Great Britain, added: “We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Stonecross Manor Hotel, BW Signature Collection to our portfolio of properties. Best Western now has brands to suit every guest, from economy to luxury, across over 260 locations in Great Britain. We look forward to working in partnership with the team at the hotel to showcase and celebrate their hotel both locally and globally.”
