Ian Gregg

Popular Cumbrian networking event LA23NET is to welcome Ian Gregg of super-brand bakery Greggs as guest speaker on Tuesday 12 Nov at Rheged Centre Penrith. Ian Gregg took over the family business from his father in 1964 and grew it to over 1600 outlets across the UK before retiring in 2007.

LA23NET Chair Grant Seaton of The Cumberland said; “It is a real honour to be welcoming Ian Gregg and we are looking forward to learning more about him and of course the iconic Greggs bakery. Ian is testament to the consistently high calibre of LA23NET speakers and with such a conveniently central location we expect the turn out to be particularly high.”

Attendees will not only hear from the Greggs man himself but enjoy some of Greggs most famous bakes, a gin or two and network with decision making business leaders at the area’s most unconventional business focused event. LA23NET is famed for attracting top brass speakers and unusual venues and previous events have been held in courtrooms, airports and even on a train. Sponsored by The Cumberland, Edwin Thompson and NXT Recruitment, the events are open to all business leaders and held on the second Tuesday of the month, the non-membership model allows people simply to pay for the events they would like to attend. Tickets for LA23NET with Ian Gregg are £19.60 inc VAT, food and complimentary bar.  Upcoming events include Business Bingo with Barry Leahy MBE of Playdale, all LA23NET events can be booked at www.la23net.co.uk/events
