Muffin Break Carlisle launch innovative fundraising campaign for local hospice

Earlier this week Muffin Break in the Lanes Shopping Centre, Carlisle launched a new and innovative way to help the care support and activities provided to local people with life limiting illnesses.

Throughout April and into May Muffin Break have an iClaw machine, supplied by Leisurematic Ltd, in store. The machine provides customers with the opportunity to win exclusive vouchers for Muffin Break’s freshly made muffins, whilst supporting Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. Every customer who uses the machine will be a winner and they have the option to donate to £2 to the local charity.

On Monday 8 April representatives from Muffin Break, The Lanes Shopping Centre, Leisurematic Ltd. and Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw attended the care store for the office launch of the machine.

Jonanthan Barker, Managing Director at Leisurematic Ltd, said“Leisurematic and team feel very privileged to be asked to donate an iClaw machine to help Eden Valley Hospice raise money to help with their fantastic work. We have thoroughly enjoyed working in partnership with them and Muffin Break and look forward to continuing this partnership and helping with fundraising in the future.”

Natalie Bingham, Corporate Relationship Co-ordinator at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, said “We are delighted that Muffin Break in Carlisle have chosen to support Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw through the iClaw machine. It is a fantastic, innovative and fun way for the local community to help the care provided at the hospice whilst also being in with a chance of winning a prize too.”

Steve Lambert, Muffin Break Carlisle’s local franchisee added: “It’s a real pleasure to be able to raise money for such a worthwhile charity, that supports local people in the Carlisle area. We are excited to have the iClaw machine in store and can’t wait for our customers to give it a go! We’ve put some great prizes in the machine, to win some of our freshly baked muffins. A few lucky winners, could even win free muffins for a month!”

David Jackson, Commercial Director at The Lanes Shopping Centre, said “We welcome this new initiative by Muffin Break to support the amazing local charity, Eden Valley Hospice, and would encourage our customers to support it.”

The money raised through the iClaw machine will help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw to provide the highest standards of care and compassion to local children and adults with life limiting illnesses. all the care and compassion is extended to the patients, family, friends and carers.
