Penrith-based logistics business A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd, which operates across the UK, is helping to reinforce the NHS’s Stay at Home message by displaying it on two of its trailers. One will be based at the company’s Cumbrian headquarters and the other at the Runcorn depot.

“The new livery is a way for A.W. Jenkinson and all its staff to show that we are extremely proud and thankful for the NHS and all key workers involved in the fight against Covid-19 right across the country,” says director Robert Jenkinson.

Being at the wheel of the Penrith-based truck will be an emotional experience for driver Bob Storey. His wife Lorraine has just returned home after spending a week on the Covid-19 ward at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

“I am so grateful for the NHS,” he says. “Lorraine was very ill and was so well looked after. Driving that truck will be very special.”
