Richard Morris has been promoted to the role of director of finance at South Lakes Housing.
He has been head of finance for the last three years and now joins the executive team,
Richard joins the executive team from within the organisation, where he has been the Head of Finance for the last 3 years providing key financial support to teams and senior leaders across the organisation.
Cath Purdy, chief executive of South Lakes Housing, said: “It’s great to welcome Richard to the executive team. He has a deep understanding of our organisation and has been instrumental in ensuring the long-term financial strength of the organisation over the last few years.”
South Lakes Housing’s plans include the delivery of 500 new homes over five years, while continuing to invest in existing homes to increase energy efficiency and keeping residents safe.
Richard said: “I’m excited to be part of the leadership team. I’m looking forward to the future challenges ahead and working with the team to ensure the organisation maintains its financial strength to deliver its ambitions.”
Shaun Gagie has also been appointed as head of people and culture at the organisation.
Shaun has over 10 years of experience delivering HR, organisational development and safeguarding across sectors including sport, housing and education.
Shaun joins from the Radclyffe School and has also held head of HR positions at Bradford University and Basketball England and is an independent non-executive director for the British Taekwondo Board.
