A business support network is returning to Cumbria.
Cumbria Business Growth Hub is bringing back its peer network support, this time with no requirements for minimum turnover or employee numbers for businesses.
It will run two cohorts, starting in July, one for existing business owners and senior managers, the other for those about to start their own business or in the first three years of trading.
Cohort one for existing business owners/senior managers operating mainly business to business or looking to develop that side of the business will run on:
- Tuesday July 5 9.30am – 12 noon
- Tuesday July 12 9.30am – 12 noon
- Tuesday July 19 9.30am – 12 noon
- Tuesday July 26 9.30am – 12 noon
- Tuesday August 2 9.30am – 12 noon
Cohort two for those looking to start a business or in the first three years of trading will run on:
- Friday July 8 9.30am – 12 noon
- Friday July 15 9.30am – 12 noon
- Friday July 22 9.30am – 12 noon
- Friday July 29 9.30am – 12 noon
- Friday August 5 9.30am – 12 noon
Lesley Robinson, business support manager for Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “We’ve seen over the years the real benefit business owners/senior managers get from attending peer networks.
“It’s often hard to sell the benefits but the breadth of topics covered and the positive impact of the networks means we couldn’t let them just end when BEIS withdrew funding. When joining a peer network the only thing we ask is a commitment to all five sessions”.
Peer networks are designed to provide a confidential arena, allowing participants to share business experiences, challenges, issues and successes, learn from and bounce ideas off each other, share best practice and ultimately have a direct impact on their businesses.
