Bursaries are available for senior managers in West Cumbria who want to improve their leadership capability.
Delegates are able to develop their leadership skills over the eight-month Leader 2 Leader course, which also provides a network they can turn to, even when the programme has been completed.
The programme maximises real-life learning opportunities allowing delegates to examine and compare individual and business experiences. The programme provides a platform for leaders to collaborate to produce solutions to key challenges and to put new learnings into practice.
The programme is designed by learning and development experts who have also ‘walked the talk’, working as senior leaders, this brings together cutting-edge learning in leadership with real-life business experience.
Lee Grears, group managing director of Responsive Ltd took part in the scheme. He said: “The scheme gave us access to a leadership course that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to access.”
The cost of programmes for small businesses can often be a barrier to upskilling staff, by providing the bursaries it opens the pool of applicants and by widening participating will help to support the success of the local economy and local communities.
The bursaries have been made available thanks to OneAIM, Sellafield Ltd and the Centre for Leadership Performance
Schools, non-profit and SMEs based in Copeland and Allerdale are encouraged to apply for a place on the upcoming November cohort.
Applications will close on September 16 at 5pm.
