A major Cumbrian firm has raised £4,200 for charity.
AW Jenkinson Forest Products held HubFest in June at Penrith Golf Hub. It raised £3,088 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service and £1,200 for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.
The fundraiser included come-and-try sessions for children, a Texas Scramble competition and putting sessions throughout the day. Among the businesses to sponsor a hole and provide support on the day were BSW Timber, Armstrong Watson, Apollo Air Services, Waitings, Leo Group, Blastclean, Keystore and Baines Wilson, Mulholland Media, H&H Reeds, Morrisons, Metcalfe Plant Hire, AST and Liberty Work and Leisure.
“We are very proud to have helped raise such a great figure for these two charities, who are doing stellar work,” said Teddy Stamper, transport manager at AW Jenkinson Transport. “In the case of the Great North Air Ambulance Service, for example, it rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year and receive no funding from the NHS so every little helps.”
