Carlisle College has won a prestigious industry award for its construction apprenticeships.
It was named provider of the Year at the The Construction Apprenticeship Awards.
Sarah McGrath, principal, said: “We are extremely proud. It is a huge honour to be recognised for the work we do to equip all of our apprentices with the skills and experience they need to succeed in their career.
“We work hard to offer education and skills training that meets the skills needs of our employer partners in Carlisle and across our wider region, supporting our local economy and helping our learners to find real employment opportunities.
“We’re in the process of extending and improving our construction academy to create innovative new spaces that will support our rapidly growing construction cohort and I’m thrilled that the dedicated efforts of colleagues across our construction and apprenticeships teams to support our local industry and learners have been recognised.”
Sponsored by EPA Construction, this year’s celebrations took place in Manchester.
