Two staff members of a Lake District hotel have been recognised at national awards.
Brunella Fusco and Florentina Ciufu, who work at the Cranleigh Boutique in Bowness, were nominated for categories in the Performance Learning Group Awards.
Hargreaves Group, which runs the Cranleigh, uses Performance Learning Group for its staff development.
Florentina won the Apprentice of the Year Impact Award. She was nominated by David Hargreaves, operational director.
The company said: “Her development and hard work over the last 12 months can definitely be seen in the way she runs the Cranleigh Boutique, the fantastic
customer reviews she and her team receive and the new initiatives that have been brought to this business.”
Brunella was shortlisted by PLG as learner of the month. The company said: “While she didn’t win, we are hugely proud of her. This year she has grown tremendously, stepping up to the position of assistant manager at The Cranleigh Boutique. We know that the PLG programme has given her fantastic knowledge which has supported her progress.”
