Leading law firm Bendles is set to acquire a Whitehaven solicitors.
Bendles Solicitors, which has offices in Carlisle and Wigton, is to acquire Bleasdale & Co Solicitors.
Bendles, which also own the estate agency Tiffens Estate Agents, Bleasdale & Co has been in the Whitehaven area for around 100 years.
A spokesman said: “The acquisition is seen by both firms as being complimentary, as they are in different legal markets but have very similar expertise and cover similar areas of law such as property, private client, matrimonial and childcare.”

Bleasdales and ourselves cover similar areas of law, which will deepen the expertise in the business. It also allows us to expand into a different market area, which we feel will be beneficial for our collective client base.

Bleasdales was advised by legal sector specialist accountants Armstrong Watson and lawyers Bennett Briegal.
