Muncaster Castle has launched a bid to attract more American tourists by giving them an unforgettable experience.
The Pennington-Frost family, which owns the 800-year-old castle, has created a three-day premium heritage experience – which they hope will tempt more US visitors to spend longer in the area.
It will include a candlelit dinner in the grand dining room, hosted by the family who have lived in the castle for generations.
Ewan Frost-Pennington said: “Americans have traditionally loved visiting Muncaster, but this new plan will allow them to enjoy a far more personal experience. They have always loved England’s rich history and now they will get a chance to fully experience life as a Lord and Lady in a typically English castle.”
The three-day package also includes a castle tour, visit to Wastwater, a trip on the La’al Ratty and the chance to fly birds with the castle’s hawk and owl team.
